Don't kick me for being ignorant, but is it Spring or Shocks; or both?

I'm kind of confused. I'm seriously thinking about getting the The Racing Beat suspension Package. It already includes front and rear springs. They are suggesting to get new shocks. But see I thought it was either springs or shocks. Or is it either shocks or struts?
Damn, even I know I'm ignorant about all this...but I'm determined to learn! ...with a little help from my friends.

you get springs and shocks... That suspension package racing beat has is for the springs/coils and a front and rear sway bar... A popular choice for chocks are tokico hp's and tokico illuminas which can both be found on ebay for the cheapest from a wholesaler
It's shocks or struts, everything has springs. You'll need a good set of shocks to complete the RB system. Do a search and you'll find good discriptions of the most popular brands on the market so you can make the right decission for your needs.................

Yeah, I saw that ebay auction.

The only problem I saw was that they aren't HP's, but rather HZ and HE's. I thought it was a scam cause the prices are so drasticaly different!
But hey, thanks Dan. I know what to get now. I'm guessing the suspension package isn't all that hard to install right?

Not at all unless the car you're doing it on is from the NE, has been sitting in tall grass for a while, or from a salty/rainy climate like... Houston.
It really shouldn't be hard, just make sure to soak all the nuts/bolts with WD-40 or your favorite rust eater/bolt loosener. Trust me when I say it's easier to wait for 30 minutes to let the stuff soak in than get antsy and go to town with an impact wrench. A lot of the stuff is hard to cut or grind out after you round off a bolt or a nut.

No problem Christaylor, if I have one thing it's patience!! For example, I'm still waiting for the trees around my house to drop all of their leaves for the year before I decide to go clean and pick them up!! heehee!
