doing custom interior, have q's

hey all, I'm completely re-doing my interior down to the floor board. from the looks of it I need to remove my dash to get to the carpet completely Removing the plastic wont be a problem and hasn't been but I get a little nervous when it comes to dash removal.

I would tell you all what I'm doing, as in complete plans for my interior, but I'll just do it and you can call me a ricer later

The dashboard is a real bitch to get out, but it can be done. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on your back, cursing at the ten millimeter bolts that Mazda put in the most awkward places possible.

Nah, that's not really true.
It's actually rather easy the second time
I've done it several times now, and indeed, the first time it's a bit searching for the bolts. But once you you know where they are, it ain't that hard.
It's easier if you have someone to help you, so you can remove the dash without damaging anything.
The only hard to reach bolts are the ones under the front piece (near the windshield) as you can't use a normal screwdriver. I bought a cheap set of angled screwdrivers, and now I can reach those things easily.
All other bolts are simply a matter of looking good for them
Do remove the seats first, that gives you a lot of extra space.
