i was installing the reverse glow gauges and i accidentaly bent my speedometer needle back past its stop location and i cant move it forward cuz of the odmeter reset stops its path. plz tell me how to fix this or call me a moron.

 

enh, not a moron.. sounds like you just maligned the needle on the shaft. pull off the needle and replace in the correct position.

note: this is what i did for my old celica, and i assume its a perfectly valid approach for a comparably aged car with similar engineering philosophy. without a picture, i cant even say if we're talking about the same problems.

oh wait, i find reverse glow gauges tacky and hard to look at, so your sense of style rates an M - But do what makes you happy.
