Does this work?

Look at this. This has got to be a lie or something. Has anybody got one. I'm not thinking about buying it, just wondering. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SAVE-...52108470QQrdZ1

Heh.....its funny how they've changed with the times...
They used to tout that item as a HP gainer.
Now,its a fuel saver.
Next thing you know, itll be able to wipe your *** for you!

Garbage.....if you wanna save gas,buy a CRX HF or a Prius, and drive the RX-7 on the weekend.

Actually, if both the tornado gizmo and the intake slots worked, you'd want the tornado to hold still until about 50% throttle so the slots can do their thing for low end torque.

Concepts aren't the same at all.

Concept is the similar. Location of execution and result is different. Slotting at the chamber inlet is aimed at improved mixture quality due to induced turbulence. The swirl inducing device in question is intended for fuel injected cars with small throttlebodies. It is intended to reduce flow restrictions due to the presence of a boundary layer in small stock single throttle plate intake systems. Like in a Honda. If you are using a carb this item is not right at all. The concept would need to be relocated after the fuel has been mixed like the slotted intake mod or a swirl carb spacer.

He's 15 and he should be asking questions like this to find out the correct answers so he can educate the next generation of drivers. So, kick yourself in the *** for being a poor role model for twinkletoes.

I have a friend who is older than me, went to automotive school, and still decided he wanted to give that turbonator thing a try. He got extremely pissed off when it wasn't helping anything for him. I tried warning him.

We all want to try things that say they do certain things. It's just Human curiosity. It also makes us want to develop things ourselve which can be a good thing....

I'm not sure if the torando works or not. I tried one in my Se once. I did notice a better bottom end thru midrange. I tracked my mileage but it was not a fair test because I found out that my CTS went south to full rich. So it all could of been due to the sensor. But I took it back before I found out that I had a problem with the CTS because My mileage dropped 1mpg..

I tried it because of the principal of causing a vortex with the air as it went down the t/body. The theory is correct but unless they offer dyno testing for our cars to prove that it works then I'll wait. I had some friends that tried the tornado in their vehicles, a couple of them said they got MPG increases, some said that they noticed a performance difference. But I don't know if all of it was wishful thinking.
