Does this sound like slave clutch?
I think I need to replace the slave cylinder and or master (84 gs).
It's a little hard to shift into 1st and 2nd. After I drive it a while it becomes
easier to shift into 1 or 2. 3-5 no problems.
Rusty sat for at least 3+ years.. rusting. There was too much fluid so took out just enough to be over the min marker about 1/8 an inch.
The fluid is brown and old. Breaks feel a bit mushy.
Input requested.

Brakes r unrelated, suggest new fluid everywhere and maybe new brake lines for the brakes
ive found when a slave is going:
Sometimes works, after use the pedal will get stuck to the floor or halway and the travel will become next to none for the clutch. Still kinda workish but defeintly not right.
Just some insight of when my slave went
If its never been replaced might be good to, they are like 25 bucks i think

Doesn't sound like a clutch hydraulic sytem problem because it normally gets worse not better with time.
When slave went, I felt a soft clutch then literally had three shifts before the clutch pedal rested on the floor.
Bleed your clutch fluid but it's probably your tranny.

The tranny fluid was fresh so I didn't change it but had it topped off. Yea I did hear a little click when moving down to 2 from morning start. After I am in 5th for a few miles it shifts normally into 1st or 2nd. Could be something in there. Hope it's the clutch and not something in the gearbox. I'll replace the slave and bleed 1st then see how it goes. It's all rusty crusty anyway i'll just get rebuilt from autozone.

Besides I have a friend there. One of the employees has a 12a station wagon and knows a lot.
I just won't use anything from "arnley" it's crap. But most of there stuff is ok and the warranty is good.

www.rockauto.com
There, the entire sets like 60 bucks. Replace both the slave AND the master at the same time. I dont do it unless I do the entire caboodle, so to speak.
I dont know if it'll help, but rockauto is were I get my stuff from and it saves me lots o cash

if it gets easier when you drive then its probably just the cold weather affecting the transmission. mine does it when its cold and the mitsushitty eclipse i used to have also done it when it was cold. i replaced the slave cylinder about 2 months ago. clutch pedal feels great and when it gets cold its still hard to shift. after it warms up it shifts normally.
