Does anyone know anything about mikuni phh44's

I have one on my 82 rx7 (13b). At 3/4 throttle its fine but at full throttle it detonates like crazy. I'm thinking that my jetting is to small.

ya think?

Also let us know what your set-up us. engine, port work??? exhaust?? etc etc??

where is your timing set at? You may be detonating because when you go to 100% throttle your vaccum advance is being too effective.

Lightbulb 44phh

I have never heard of detonation when using a 44phh. Sure you are not losing fuel pressure or the inline pressure regulator is failing? Need to strap on fuel pressure gauge to window and see where it is at for full throttle. for info on mikunis call 1-925-674-0130. Rebello racing in Ca ask for mike the tech and explain what is going on. Have run the 44phh before on my 12a and never had any problems.rx7doctor

s4 13b, rb road race header, dual all the way back to stock style muffler, Not running vaccum advance, direct fire, Stock port. I dont think I'm losing fuel presser, my fuel pump has enough capacity to support the carb. I dont know what size jets I have, probably what it came with.

tehy are written on them, i have the correct jetting written down somewhere for
a non-ported 13b will look for the info. Othersie you can call the # i listed and mike will get you the info. Don't rule out fuel pressure though. Kinks in theline, low voltage to the pump, bad ground are all the things that will come back to bite you in the rear.lol. rx7doctor

You don't know what jets are in it, Yet you want to order some? What happens when you order the same jets that are in it? Listen to the Doctor, He's probably right on the money about your timing being off. Btw, your exhaust sounds like RB streetport system.

Thank You rx7 doctor. Your very helpful. It would be great if you could get me those jet sizes. I'll have to pull the float chamber cover off and see what size they are tomarrow. I'm not sure about the timing thing though because It will detonate at pritty much any rpm if I floor it. BTW I put together somethng like the rb street port but it only cost me like 200 bucks. Sounds like **** though.
