okay well for about 4 hours i was out in my engine bay cleaning all the old oil and crap that was absolutely every were (previous owners doings i guess) it was caked on like a 1/4" every where. well in the process of cleaning it in my ally people driving throw would look at me then try to prove something, like reving there engine and then whiping around the corner screaching tires. i guess they just looked at me and were like they were jelous and just had to prove something like there jeep was better or there old oldsmobile. it happend 3 times in 4 hours.

Do you guys ever get people that think they have to prove something in there cars towards your 7?

I took it allmost like a compliment that these people actually think about my 1st gen and how much they would probely want it

 

I normally get the ricers revving at me....sometimes a few slow *** stocker cars. I guess they have something to prove.

 

haha I had like 3-4 people try to race me within 30 minutes with my unpainted car... kinda amusing when you smoke them cause they must feel like idiots

 

I think the mentality behind it is that people want to prove that their POS is better than yours. If you think about it makes sense because usually when you see someone driving around in a riced out civic, you want to stomp them. The same goes for those who don't really have an appreciation for cars. When they see you meticously(sp*) cleaning your engine bay they figure they should show you up by reving their ****-mobiles. Aah the mind of a moron.

 

I know what you mean, I use to have a 93 del sol, dropped 5" on 18s, and one day I had the stock 13" wheels on the front, cause I had been to the drags the night before. I had the pressure in them at about 8psi, and while driving down the hiway I blew one, I am sitting on the side of the road with it on jacks, and had about 3 or 4 other Hondas reving as they drove by...

Another time, I blew a head gasket, and was towing it home with a chain behind my Bravada, and I had a Cavalier with a big double stacked wing come by reving, I was about to call my friend driving my Bravada to stomp on it and beat him.

I hate stupid people that always think they have the fastest cars in the world...

 

its like they dispies it (or whatever the right word is) its my own neighbors on the block 2 but my car has been tarped up since i bought it the odd i day i have gone and worked on it but its allways under the tarp adn for 2 day it hasnt and i guess the see it and think it going to be a car thats gunna **** them off once iam driving it

 

haha ... funny you mention this ... had a couple of guys come in camaroes z26 not even the z28 ... slow down a bit and then both sping their tires right in front of me as I was wworking on it ... I was just like "bomboclide" .. lol
