do i need these vacume things on my dizzy?

do i need these vacume things on my dizzy?

im carbing my s5 13b and i just bought a electric dizzy and it has these vacume actuator things on it there are 2 of them. do i need to keep these? or cna i remove them?because they are in the way and there no room with my power steering

Those would be your vacuum advance modules. Keep them, or gas mileage and performance will suffer. Although, I don't understand how they could be interfering with your power steering? Of course, I've never seen a 7 with power steering either.

What lines would you need to reconnect/rerout to vaccum ports? and how?

I personally prefer to use the vacuum port farthest forward at the base of the carb. This will increase the advance once you tip into the throttle, which adds a nice little boost of torque at mid throttle. Use a "T" connector to join the two lines into one, then on to the base of the carb. Try it, you'll like it.

OK.. im a lil tired and confused lol... Your talking about the 2 vac advances on the distributor for the first gen cars right? And putting on a "racing carb"? If so im almost 100% sure that none of the performance carbs need/can be hooked up to them... I just ran a 2" hose from one to the other as per racing beats instructions...
