Do I need this?

I took this thing off today, and I'm not sure if it is necessary. By the research I've done, I've found out that it's called a 'main air bleed solenoid'. I have no idea what it does, I just need to know if it's neccasary.

No pic, but it has a 2-prong electrical connector and hooks onto the secondary diaphragm.

I think that's part of the idle compensation system. It raises the idle when your A/C kicks on. It's the only solenoid you keep from the rat's nest if you still have A/C. If you don't, you can discard it.

If I'm wrong, someone feel free to correct me.
