distributor timing

need help with 85 gslse 12a engine

its a drag car only with e85 fuel with holley 650

how much timing the most I should run
the puley is not stock so not sure how much timing I have

if I turn the distributor all the way to end advanced how much timing is

and all the way retarded how much timing it is roughly

I can't tell you what timing to run, it depends on your engine mods, porting, etc. I can tell ya that the timing issues are a fairly common question and can be found by searching "timing" in the first gen. section.

You also might get a better answer by asking in the "racing" section, where they may be more familiar with that type of setup.

You'll need to get your pulley properly marked for #1 TDC & degrees from there before you can do much else, so I'd research "finding TDC" while you're at it.
