distributor bolt size?

you got it, I lost the bolt that secures the dizzy to the motor. I've tried several bolts I have sitting around, and I cant figure out what size it is. Anyone know off the top of their head what size it is?

Actually, it's supposed to be a stud, with a nut to secure the distributor. Although a bolt will work. I'm not at home so I can't check it right now, but my guess would be 6mm x 1.0.

Old schools had studs and nuts. I don't know about the '79, but FBs had bolts. Cost cutting, I suppose.

Yes, 6mmx1.0 is correct, with maybe 10mm length of thread. The head is also supposed to have a wide section below the hex. Don't use a lock washer with it.
