NY Direct ignition problem

I just did the direct ignition setup on my 12a and I am getting some back firing at 5000 rpms and above. I am running dual 6AL boxes with 2 msd coils for leading and an accel coil for trailing the only thing that I have done that is diffrent from the original instructions is that I didn't do the jump wires for the lead coils instead I did a split on the neg wire and on the pos wire then ran them into each coil individually. I do not think that this would be a problem but if it is can some body please let me know. Thanks

Easy, Disable Trailing and advance timing a little. I have found that with my direct ignition it runs better with no trailing most of the time. Check ur plugs also, Could be fouled

Dont remove trailing just disable it. And run it and see how it goes

when you say disable do you mean disconnect the plug on the trailing ignition module (J109)?

Ya, You should ditch the 109's and get GM HEI moduls. There much better
