dimmer switch bypass
The reason for this post is i think i cooked a resistor in my dimmer switch when i wired up the white gauges. I should have read the directions first. anyway, now my low beams don't work at all, my high beams work only occasionally when switched on, but i can flash them every time.
I never use the switch anyway- i just leave it set at its brightest. So my question is can i bypass the switch to regain low beams and consistant high beams? The dimmer switch (or "panel light control" per the manual) has a three wire connection. One ground, one 12v batt, and one +/-v for variable brightness. I'm not much for electrical, but couldn't i just direct connect some two or all three of these together to bypass the switch?
