Just wondering what the dimensions of the storage bins (behind the seats) are.

Especially the LxWxH of the lid.

Also the internal dimensions of the storage bin if you got the time.

I'm wondering if a 8" subwoofer could be mounted in the lid, with a custom box fitted into the storage bin. Of course, it would have to be a sealed box with a small air volume requirement.

Seems like a good place to put some bass in these cars.

I took the complete storage bin metal assembly out and did a mdf and fiberglass enclosure in my 82 gsl. Was really easy and had enough volume to install 2 JL 12 W7s there.1.375 net per woofer. Sorry no digicam here so no pics Box is elevated a little towards the seats but fits just fine and sounds just awesome!!

 

So does anyone know what the dimension of the storage bin lids are?

Will a 8" sub fit on there (with a custom box behind the cover)? Will 2? Will a 10"?
