Differential drain plug stuck!

Ok I got called in to work to get a diff drain plug out. They make a extractor that you hammer in to the 3/8 square use a 19mm socket and I used the BIG DADDY 1inch impact. I did have to tap the diff after i removed the pug.

Hmmmm.. I could see that working.. with enough torque anything is possible
Either way.. I could hammer in the extractor and use my long breaker bar.. I dont think my 1/2" impact or the compressor has the ***** to do it

where can i get one of these magic extractors?

i had the same problem with the drain plug on my transmission. I ended up having to weld a socket to it and use a really long breaker bar

Same problem. I cleaned everything off of the plugs, then covered it in PB blaster. Make sure you clean off the inside parts of it when you finally get it.

Hmm.... valuable information.. thanks everyone.. I imagine i'll be welding something to the plug, and using PB blaster.. if that dosent work, nothing will. lol
