A different whine question

Along with the other issues with my car comes this one.

At near full throttle (heavy load) when accelerationg I hear a noticable whine and on occasion one soft clunk both appearing after ~4k . What the heck could this be? The whine doesnt worry me as much as that mysterious clunk.

Thanks

Start with the cheap simple stuff first.

How new are your belts and are they properly tightened? Are all your accessories bolted in tight? Do you have enough fluid in your diff and transmission?

PS Welcome to OhioRotaries, thanks for coming by.
