TN A different engine problem

I have had many of the problems of bringing back to life my 82 GLE from years of storage, now I am down to a few problems.Thankful for any help.First,my engine will all at once decideto run rough after a trip of any distance, being turned off and restarted for return trip home.I have fixed this problem the last couple of times by letting engine hold car back down a long hill, sounds crazy I know.Coud this be an apex seal sticking and releasing from the back pressure?I just added an extra measure of 2-cycle andMM oil to gas to try and extra lubricate.2. My exhaust overheat light comes on at times when running rough also, not always related to engine temps, sometimes right after starting, almost always flashes when I turn headlights on.I have removed converter but retained shield against floorboard.3.When I release clutch hard enough to spin tires in first gear I feel a slip that I think is in the rear end because RPM does not increase like clutch slippage, and that is the only time it happens. Thanks in advance for any help,MW

Sounds like you are intermittently loosing your leading ignition. This will result in loss of power, rough running, hard starting, and overheating exhaust system.
