DFI on Trailing

Well I'm going to go DFI soon. But I really want to remove the dizzy cap and leads to clean up the bay, and so getting some sort of direct fire setup on the trailing. I've been mulling over the ideas in my head for a while, with a few potential solutions. Any input is appreciated as I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to ignition.

Hall effect options - remove reluctor from 1st gen dizzy. Buy 2 hall effect sensors, mounted 90deg from each other, and make up an iron vane to get them triggering at the right point. Then run each to a 2nd gen trailing coil + ignitor (hall effect giving the correct trigger signal so no need for J109's).

The trick comes with the leading. I was thinking, I can either get two more hall effect sensors mounted opposite the trailing ones, and use them to trigger the 2nd gen leading coil pack. Seems a bit wasteful though. What about triggering the leading from the same sensors (I have a programmable ignition device to put in between, to add split etc). And then using diodes so the signal doesn't travel back and trigger the opposite trailing plug (realising that trailing waste spark is a bad idea).

Could this idea also be adapted to the reluctor style dizzy, by mounting the two pickups at 90deg, and taking the signal for the leading from each trailing ignitor?

The other option, which I have seen done, is remove the trailing pickup from the dizzy, and mount two pickups (at 90deg) on a top layer with a reluctor that has only two sharp edges. These go via J109's to the trailing coils.

Basically I'm after advice from igniton guys, which would work best, and is my above idea even feasible, since I know diodes do leak a little current backwards, and may cause a nasty trailing waste spark. Thanks
