Dellorto Carbs!

I was looking on ebay and found these, would I be able to use one? I would have to get new upper half on the manifold or design one, but would they be the right size?

I guess the short answers would be yes, and no.

The Dells that RB sold were modified. I can't spit the modifications verbatim, but I can say that the throttles were changed from 40mm to 48mm, so you'd have your work cut out for you!

Do a search on old Dell'Orto threads and see if you're still interested.

My advice would be to keep searching, but that's just my opinion.

Use one? No. Just one 40 will not flow enough air. Now by using the pair, youd get enough air and fuel.

BTW - I've bought from that guy before, he's legit and honest.

If you want a Dell, the best way is to find a used RB setup. Modifications include emulsion tubes, accelerator pump gasket, OMP inlets, different OMP rod and lines, throttle and choke linkage, proper jet sizing, and whatever other unknowns. The whole kit generally runs around $300 used in reasonable condition.
