decreased gas mileage by replacing fuel filter?

Question decreased gas mileage by replacing fuel filter?

i replaced my fuel filter a few week's ago and im noticing that it's consuming more fuel or at least the gauge says so, i havent changed my way of driving any and i still travel the same amount of distance i've always traveled everyday, has anybody else experienced this problem, or does anybody know what may be goin on wrong? thnx

2 possibilities. 1) your filter was restricted so bad that you were not getting full flow to your
injectors and was running lean. 2). your fuel filter is leaking and you are losing fuel

well before i replaced the filter i looked at the plug's and they were black, and i looked at it a couple of day's ago and it didnt look like it was leaking, also when i started it up an checked for leaks didnt seem to be any, could there be any other possibilities?

Black would indicate rich running. Have you inspected the plugs since? When was the last
time you changed plugs, cap, rotor, wires and air filter? What type of plugs are you running?
