Dead Radio in GSL-SE

My '85 GSL-SE has a dead factory Clarion radio. I like the look of the radio and all, just wish it would work. I've checked all the fuses and haven't had any luck there. Do you guys have any other suggestions? The illumination works when the lights are on. I don't want to replace it, I'd prefer to keep the car stock.

None of the old posts had much in them, aside from other complaints of dead radios. Does anyone have a fix for them?

perhaps a fuse inside of the radio has blown. that, or, the radio has just given up the ghosts

Are there fuses inside the radio that are easy to get to? I need to pull it out of the dash and check the wiring anyways. I haven't figured out how to do that, but obviously it can't be too hard.
