Angry Dead Emergency Brake - HELP

Well, it finally happend. The adjusters, springs, levers and clips inside my rear brakes on my 1985 1st gen finally gave out!

Now I am in deep dodo! I can get the adjusters and some of the other parts from Mazdatrix, but I can't get them all. I have tried a few recyclers on the net, but no luck. Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit or the parts I need to get my mechanic what he needs to fix the Emergency Brake??

It is rather hilly where I live and I don't want to have the car resting on the gears like that (Yea, it's my daily driver!!!)

Are any of the parts swapable with other 1985 mazdas????

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS!!

Assuming ur talking about the rear drum brakes, they're pretty much all the same on the 1st gens with drum brakes. Ur local parts stores like Autozone or Advanced Auto should have stuff like that. Try ur local salvage yards too. And the Mazda dealership may be of some help, although I tend to use them as a last resort.

I know for a fact that Auto Zone has 'em or can get 'em. I don't have the exact part number as I'm not at home. But just swing by your local parts store and they'll hook you up.

If your talking about getting back to the message that was sent to you. You can click on the "Control Panel" link in the upper right hand corner (Under the RX-7 forum logo). Then click on "Private Messages", a list of PM's should be there.
