De De Dee axle removal
It must be too hot here in Texas, but I bent the hook straight on my slide hammer trying to remove the axle. After 5 hours off and on, I removed the 4 nuts holding the damn brake to the axle housing. That's what I get for over complicating this car. I'm really liking the darkside, I've spent too much money on the car already, but it should be driving by the time school starts.

I used a piece of wood cut to size to put the wheel seals in like it says, but I bent the hell outta 2 wheel seals. Need some help. Do I need to bend the edges a little next time I get more seals? Apply grease or oil?
It would have been really funny/disturbing watching me today. After the first one bent I smashed it to the ground and wailed on it with a hammer. Then cussed the hell out of it, threw it in the street as a truck happend to go by, it clinked, I think it landed in the bed cause I couldn't find it in the street. The second one was done a little later with a little more care, each time I tapped it the other side popped out so I nudged it a little and kept popping out, I examined it and saw it was bent already, so I threw it on the ground and proceeded to turn it into art with fire.
It's amazing what a BS running red light ticket will do for my day (5 years and no tickets), especially when you find out you didn't even need to go to that part of town.
I get my carb rebuild kit tomorrow, I think I'm just going to pay someone to do that, don't want y'all to be seeing me on CNN :P Anyone know someone around Austin, TX that rebuilds nikki's?

You may have damaged the axle bearings by all that pounding to remove the axles. If they don't feel smooth when you turn the bearings by hand, then replace the bearings. If they feel sloppy, then replace the bearings.
