Question Dash question

I know theres in interior question but I fiquer I'de get some more info here. I have a red interior, but i really think black dassh and trim would look nicer, those anyone have any info on how I would go about doing it the proper way, my concerns are the dash after being painted, or dyed how ever recommended, will look to shiny or that the armor all will remove waht it was to change the color. please if you have any input descridbe how to go about doing it. later and thanx

Vinyl dye works the best for painting dashes and other trim pieces. I don't know what happens if you Armor-All it, since everything I've vinyl dyed is so fresh its still shiny. I wouldn't imagine that it would hurt it, though.

I just did mine, I recommend using ONLY SEM vinyl and plastic dye. Works fantastic, but you need to be patient and follow the directions exactly. You'll be pleased with the results.
You should be able to get it at an auto paint store.

Well, the BEST way to do it is to swap out the dash components for nice black ones, and dye the remaining trim pieces to match. I've used Fiebing's black leather dye with good results, and SEM products enjoy an excellent reputation, although I haven't tried their vinyl dye. I would say to stay away from vinyl "paint", as some of them don't adhere very well in the long run.

Kool i did a search on the net and read all about SEM sounds like the thing to use much appreciated guys
