That looks very good.

How did you get the gauges to flush mount from the rear?

I did something similar:

Custom Guage and Touch Screen Install Complete-022.jpg

I just figured out how difficult it is to photograph a black dash in bright sunlight.

Thanks guys. I wanted it to look stock. It took me several tries to get it just right. Plastic glues, metal bracing, bondo as filler and paint. I think patience and persistence got me thru this one.

Hey! also nice. Metal panel?? all the components shuffled around nicely. Cool to have the 3 gauges up nearer the eyeline. Gotta admit a 3-gauge set like this would be neat in an SA. (Not sure if MY SA, but these certainly address the, er, modest gauge allotment in SAs)

looks amazing! what paint did you use? I know many have had to mix their own for the surrounds.

Thanks,
No, its not metal, it is a modified stock panel. Used plastiweld and some PCV pipe. You cant tell in the pic but the guages are angled slightly toward the dirver, thats where the pipe came in. I was pleased with the result. It looks better inperson than it does in the pic. Difficult to get a good exposure.

How much would you charge to make a panel like this? Phenomenal work

Since theyre AEM gauges which I believe the front bezels screw off all of them, that may have something to do with the flush mount. In fact, you could actually position the gauges, then mold the bezels into the surround and that would allow you to screw/unscrew them in and out of the surround. I have the same wideband in my STi, and I know the bezel comes off that one, so I assume it does on the others also.

Hard to tell though, because in the angle shot, it does look like the bezels are still on the gauges. It could just be a simple hardware strap around the back to hold them with tension to the back of the surround.
