custom exhaust!

I just put my header on my car yesterday with eddierotary he's helping me on my exhaust and today we put on the summit racing high flow cat it sound loud but nice , tomorrow I was going to buy some flanges im going with 2 1/4 inch pipe I got like 10 ft of that stuff well question can I put a straight pipe with flage of 2in into 2/1/4 pipe all way back to rear end and then bend around rear end or is it going to be a muthafuucccaaaa I hope not I pulled the exhasut from the rear and I took out lots of rust I wanna make a heat shield my self out of sheetmetal and screw it in , well I hope I can do what I have planned! later

let us know how it comes out.. im doing a setup just like that, racing beat header, summit cat (i believe its catco) 2 1/4 all the way back to a muffler (not sure what kind yet) love to hear how it comes out..

damn thats a run on sentence if i ever saw one, so your question can you weld 2" pipe into 2 1/4" ?? maybe depending what the outside diameter is, if not just get more flanges and just tack the smaller tubing and make a fatty bead around the flange..
