I have a 1985 GSL (12a). The mods include dellorto side draft carb - emiisions removed - RB header and replacement pipe w/presilencer instead of cats - monza exhaust - street/strip clutch from racing beat - light steel flywheel. First question for anyone that has had actual experience on these things ....what kind of estimated HP am I getting. Is there anything else substantial that can be done to it before opening the motor (my 12a is stock till now). I already read the FAQ but removing the stock fan and putting an electric really does not do much already tried it and not worth the expense.

Now if I do perform a large street port on my 12a and also porting the exhaust side will it give me a substantial gain in HP. Granted it probably cost at the very least 2,000 dollars. Thought about nitrous but that is just goping to kill the life of my 89 thousand mile 12a and a rebiuld would come faster than I want and then I am stuck with nitrous cost and rebuilding.

Any one out there with similar situation and maybe some actual dyno runs would really help.

thanks

david
