The problems are society and stereotypes.. Alot of girls feel intimidated about coming into what for so long has been the "guy's domain" of mechanics. Add to that the fact that any girl on the forum is practically swamped upon mentioning her gender, and you have a very, very small group.
I, personally, am happily togetether with my g/f, but she'd rather be swimming than hearing about my car adventures (she's a lifeguard.. hehe, lucky me :P)
I just once would like to see a girl come into the forum and become as knowledgable and looked-up-to as Manntis, Rx7Carl or DirectFreak. So to all the girls out there, you don't have to mention your gender, but power to you. If you can figure out how to work on these cars, I'd consider you possibly one of the coolest individuals I've ever met :P

The only women in this town that drive rx-7s look like they haven't bathed in weeks and have maybe one tooth and of course ratty frizzy blonde hair. i've only seen one girl in a rx that didn't look like that...she was georgeous.

okay, so ill give ... was at an autocross today and my friend jduncan came over and asked me why i havent posted back to this thread yet.. simple reason-- i didnt know it existed
so some updated news for those who know me and then some news for those who have no idea who i am last summer i had a automatic first gen (please dont beat me ) i loved this car alot!! let me tell you although i had never driven it, i was determined to get it to run. so, i bought an engine and decided after going over the haynes manual and getting confused a whole bunch that i would call upon some first gen owners help. got on this board posted and jduncan and crazyjoe12a came up to indianapolis to help me with the swap .. well long story short i ended up in ky with crazyjoe12a (ah first gen love ) and well after much deciding we decided to strip the car nakid and get rid of it...so we did (alot of frame rust and wheweee you shoulda seen the rust ) and i adopted "silvie" our first gen auto crossing beater that is having rear end problems right now.... grrrrrrrr
oh well i do love the fb and everything about them and its awesome you can tell another fb from like 20 miles away.. hell you can do that with any rotary..
we also have a gsl-se that is patiently waiting for a new motor and were going to have another that were going to strip and ditch ........i know its a sad way for them to go but when you cant use them anymore i guess its all thats left i know ..........
hehe but love to you all!
and yes im taken...and no i wont give you my picture....

MY 85 when I got it, it was previously owned by a chick. Pretty good looking one too, she left pictures and a few things in the car. I noticed the previous owners name was Christine something , i forget the exact name.
But thank god chicks dont drive these cars anymore, man should have seen what she did to the poor car, wrecked it, changed the oil maybe 2x's in its life. Threw coke cans in the floorboard, really nasty stuff

The only words I heard from Rx7girl were "KY and strip naked."
Just kiddin. Its nice to know there are chicks that like these old cars. My girl thinks mine looks nice, but hates to drive in it.

Hey, I'm all woman, baby - don't be trying to pass me off as a gurl....
And, for the record, I am presently 7-less. <sigh> I'm in the market for another 1st gen, if anyone gives a damn.

You got money to spend on a 7 in the bank or in hand? I could find you one fairly easily. I believe I'll end up with either an extra S5 13b or ported 12a, depending on which I like better or need more
PM me if you're looking for a car! I always seem to run into good deals, but don't usualy have the money or space for extra cars.
