Creeping Floor Mats

I have a set of original carpeted Rx7 floor mats. Trouble is, they keep on scooching up under the gas, brake and clutch pedals and getting in the way. I have to reposition the drivers mat each time I get in.

I'm planning to Velcro them down just in front of the seats. Has anyone found other solutions?

ever seen a Nissan? Some Toyota's? Some of them have a loop screwed into the carpet that hooks through the floor mat... You could punch a hole out of the floor mat and wire tie to something by the seat

I've got the same problem in my 3rd Gen even though they have a little nub that the mat can hook on, IT NEVER STAYS! I'm thinking about drilling a hole through the nub so I can put a pin through it so the mat will stay on. But I'm sure wiring it to the seat or making a little mount would solve all your problems

The main problem is that the 1st Gen has a very large vinyl heal pad sewn into the carpet, this creates a slippery surface that the mat slides on. The large heal pad is also a very good thing because your feet pretty much never have to leave it and the carpet stays pretty clean. That's why I tossed mine and more importantly it doesn't get in the way of my driving.

Yea my mat tends to bunch up under the gas pedal and doesnt let me push it down as far as i want to. And we all know that thats completely unacceptable.
