So i get in to start my killer ride and go pick up chicks.

I put the keys in the ignition, these two HOT babes come up and ask for a ride. I go to turn the key... its locked.

I try moving the wheel and turning (to unlock)... the wheel moves all the way left and right still no unlock. So i have to send the babes away and get my friend to come help me out. We eventually muscle the key to turn the engine on.

WEIRD!!!!

I had my ignition freeze up on me to the point that I broke a key off in it on accident trying to get home. I went and had some keys made from my spare and sprayed some lube in there (key and lock lube that my uncle had), never had the problem since .

Yeh, mine locked once and some wd40 worked great, never had a prob since.

im kinda in the same boat... well after i SMASHED my l.e. i brought home my friends RX2 to do some work on and such. well in 2 hours i mush have had 20 people comment on it.... went into the bank...HOTTIE teller comments on the little white car out side.. yep thats mine... its a rx2 blkah blah blah. then she says it was neat and she would like to know more about it... i almost said it has a rear seat want to try it but i didnt...

It sucks because as soon as my car started, my friend called me, **** faced drunk, and made me come over to her house. She did this so this gay guy could hit on me all night and try to get me to go back to his place. Oh my god that sucked.

*I* think it wasnt starting so that it could avoid that situation, but we forced her to start.

Maybe i should listen next time!

the cylinder will lock up on mine sometimes, depending on how I have all the wiring in there positioned. Its pretty strange actually I don't know how or why it does that.

 

I had my 85, lock up like that and the key would turn all the way off, and the key WOULD NOT COME OUT, I eventually had to jerk the entire cylinder out, and drove like that , just turning a flat head screwdriver to start the car. When I did this big swapola , I rebuilt the steering box and got me a new key and cylinder.. Its funny Im still reaching for the flathead to start it LOL
