I wonder what parts I need in addition to the kit? And how hard it is to put in. Do I need a lift, or can I do it with jackstands? How about any precision steering adjustments?

u won't need any parts with the stage 2 kit...it's gonna come with everything required except the tools obnviously....u are gonna have to get an allignment done once it's installed...it is not very hard to put it in...u will have to do a few modifications in order to put it in.

you asked for questions... so im bringing em.

Im assuming the stage 2 kit includes the steering rack and the stage 1 kit doesnt? What is the condition of the racks they are including? i.e. rebuilt or salvaged? and of course....

WHAT'S THE DAMAGE? $$$$

I'm a little anxious to get this R&P since my 83 is showing signs of wornout steering.

Mike...i think they should be able to whip up something for ur kind the design looks pretty simple.

bliffle....I am pretty sure it should be ready to ship out to u no later than the end of this month.

Shawn...all chris told me when i asked him if i could install it on ym own was that i would need the stage 2 kit...not sure what that includes or doesn't but i will find out as soon as i call him next. i took a look at 2 of the racks and they looks like thryre in good condition. i think they are rebuilt...will find out for sure soon. I'm not allowed to disclose the damage....sorry u'll find otu when everyone else does!

later,
Gufran

Would these kits work on the older rotary cars? They too suffer from the iffy recirculating ball steering system.

You tease! How about you just tell me that the cost is under $350? Im trying to decided wether i should go to the trouble of transfering the good steering from my other car into my daily driver. or just keep waiting for this kit.

Dont mess with the Kanucks........I am part canadian......

They beat to a different drum.........and just when you least expect it Wham........upside the head........

They work like 3 days a week........the others they spend going to the beer store and waiting in line.......

Then drink with the bros and then maybe go back to work......

The toys will be coming...........Thats why J Oliver had to get more people involved......its bigger than you think...........

And they have to have enough R&D on the product incase it fails.........Then the lawsuits start.....
Then its back to the beer store......

Dudes it will be here when they are ready........Its not ready yet.........do something else.......Just be ready...

Thankyou 4 that! Ya we are a little different but I dont agree with you on one thing...The only reason I am with CP Racing is because they hired me to head up R&D at the new shop for all kinds of new products. It will prove 2be a very beneficial for all of us.
I AM CANADIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I just read this whole thread for the first time, and honestly I didnt care at first about the conversion thinking that it wasnt something I needed, but I have to admit, my curiosity is peaked. Is this REALLY something I should look into doing? Is it REALLY going to make that big of a difference? Maybe I need some seat time with a converted car to see if its something I really want. I think that would be about the best way for me to decide. Soooo...As soon as someone in my area picks up a kit and gets it installed, would you mind letting me cruise around a parking lot or something?
