Cowl Hood With Intercooler Fan

I was wondering what you guys think about my plan? I have a GSL-SE with a TII swap. I don't feel like dealing with hassle and long piping of a frount mount and am not sure a scoop is the way to go. Here's my plan. I am thinking of putting a 2" cowl on my hood and under the cowl, cutting a hole and installing a 10" or 12" fan right over the intercooler. I plan on wiring it in so whenever the key is on, the fans on. This way it will pull cold air from the cowl to cool the intercooler, moving or at idle.

I don't think I would run a fan there. The ram air from the cowl should give adequate flow. What you might want to add is a sprayer system like they have on the Subaru WRX STI.

I know a cowl will bring is a little flow, but I assumed I would need more than it would provide.

A cowl will bring "a lot" of flow, it picks up airflow from below the windshield, GM used this for years on their muscle cars.

just pop the hood alil n the rear, move the hood latch up 1 notch , it gets the hot air out and your hood shut
