a couple questions
hey i was wonderin on my gsl-se theres what looks like two air pumps....it doesnt have p/s if i take both of them off will it effect anything, it looks like it wouldnt be getting as much belt to the water pump pulley as usuall but i guess i can fix that with another belt ha?........
what is rats nest?
how do i remove it?
how much power do i gain if any?
im getting a 4 port 13b out of what i believe to be a repu im putting it into my 82 fb what crossmembers do i need and adjustments to be made for it to fit, will it bolt up to a stock 5 speed 82 tranny?

the rats nest is the name for all the vacuum lines. most all of that is for emisions and can come out. not sure if or what needs to stay so ask around.
to remove it you pull all the **** off and cap any open vacuum ports.
power gain will be minimal but you will have a cleaner, easier to work on engine bay and vacuum leaks will be far easier to trace. in removing the air pump you will need to gut your cat as it will clog without that supply of air. once this is done all the emissions solenoids aren't really doing anything anyway.
