Continued Rotary Vw project updates...

Well I got a few updates and questions...

Update is that I finnally got my cooling system to be stuck at 190, it wont go over that. What I did was run a direct power wire with a inline fuse to my ignition and the fan starts when the car starts. The car was wired up with a temp. controlled relay, but the relay was bad, and I just found this out. I really dont think I will go to a temp controlled relay, I will just keep it the way it is, its fine!. The whole time, there was a fan on the radiator(I knew this when I bought it) but I never really worried about getting it working as I never stopped and thought about how effective pulling air through a radiator until I stopped and thought about my gf's car....the other day I was checking her cooling system, so I told her to let the car idle so I can see the fans come on to insure that works...etc. Well, after 5 minutes of the fan turning on, the fans turned off and the car was cooled down, and this is at idle with no air coming through front of car (like at 50mph)....so it occured to me that my fan can cool my car as well....I really just never spent any time thinking about it, I am use to a fan on an engine cooling the car, haven't spent much time with electric fans.OK ILL STOP RAMBLING!!! ITS FIXED

I have the 129$ Borla muffler in my garage that has less than 50 miles on it. I have an unknown muffler on the car now with what I believe is normal exhaust piping, not stainless.....What do you guys think about the Borla muffler? Im typically a huge fan of Borla so I have done some searches, and a few of you guys consider this pretty much the 2nd best muffler? Under the RB setup. OR could I be talking about the wrong Borla muffler, maybe the 200 and something dollar muffler is the 2nd place/3rd place muffler for the rotary....Any thoughts?

I have a leak on the front of my housing, leaks oil pretty good, behind distributor area, I havent really looked in there...but I did notice a milky substance on my dip stick. I dont have a hood over my engine during the rain(did have something over carb/cleaner ) so I was wondering if you guys think water may have drained into my engine? I will know a little more tomorrow when I drain the oil. My oil wasnt registering the dip stick, so that tells me im low on oil. If I had water getting into the oil internally, I drove this car for 15-20 minutes today and I would assume my oil pan would have been FULL of OIL AND WATER and would have registed on dipstick. . . . . . hmmmm

borla is mo betta than the racing beat. The rb us a chambered muffler and the borla is straight through. aka the borla is mo betta. simple as that
