Connect an mp3 player to a stock radio

I heard it was possible to connect a mini jack to a fist gen radio through the equilizer. how do you do this? I would like to reduce the noise of those cassette adapters.

use a wireless transmitter modulator that your radio can pick up from 87.7 to 89.9 they work very well and can **** off the car next to you
