I'm not sure who made you a mod, or when you became a mod, but congratulations doc. I can't think of very many people I would want to be my moderator, but you are definitely one that I would want to be my moderator. I'm sure you, along with the already existing mods, will continue to make the First gen section the best section on the forum.

I couldn't think of a better section of the forum to be in than this one.

My goals are simple. I am going to try and keep our section free of clutter making it a more viable source of education for existing and new members alike.
I also am working on a thread to address the Search function for all and yes especially new members.
I know I will be spending alot of time in threads and trying to keep them as informative and beneficial as possible. My Pm box is always open to all either with tech questions(however I like it when more members get involved in this process) and for suggestions or recommendations to improve our section of the forum.

I'm suprised there hasn't been more people comment yet. Doc is one of the most knowledgeable people in the first gen section. I don't think there has been someone he hasn't helped out, at least not that I've seen.

P.S. - Telling someone to search for a topic that has been covered a billion times is helping them. lol

Congrats, Doc. You have been here and helping the whole time since I joined, so it's a good fit the forum. Carl and Jon and Directfreak have been real good (especially about what to let slide and where to draw the line), so you joining those guys will be nothing but a good thing.

Now, if you guys can just get Trochoid on board, the synergy of the fabulous 5 would overwhelm the 2nd and 3rd gen guys to the point of burning their nasty cars and coming on over to the darkside...
