Combination meter

Have a 83 gsl going into a 84 body. Attempting to use 84 wiring harness. The combination meters are different and the foxed.ca wiring diagram doesn't label the meter. Anyone got a good reference for rewiring this thing? Found a few threads saying it can be done, but no pictures/schematics.

In other news, the poor car runs again after she got totaled two months back. Just need to get the interior harness to play nice and I am on the road.

Why are you changing the wiring? The engine is a direct match. Just use the engine side wiring harness from the 1984 and don't mess with any wiring in the 1984 interior.

Original harness is for a 12A and I am salvaging it for connectors as required. Current engine is a 92 13B running off a weber carb. Engine wise its super simple and I have done that part before. Everything in the bay appears to be running well except lights.

Current harness is the gslse 84 harness. I detest the 84 interior and the one in the body I had rotted before I purchased the body for the swap. I have attempted to remove the odor in order to sell the carpet and it does not appear to be possible. I will NOT be installing the 84 interior. If it was possible to install the 84 gauge cluster into the 83 dash I would, as that would solve a ton of my issues.

Really not sure why the haynes and foxed manuals don't call out the comb meters functions for the 83.

OK - this helps clear it up. The first sentence gave me the impression you had a 83 GSL engine going into a 1984 body.

"Have a 83 gsl going into a 84 body."

So which dash harness and which cluster are you trying to mate together?

83 dash to 84 cluster.

I've got all pin functions on the cluster for rewire, but I only know about a 1/3rd of the functions on the dash.
