Cold starts?
Hi,
I have a S4 NA 13b with street port, hogged out nikki carter 110 GPH fuel pump and DLIDFIS with a long primary exhaust.
It also has new plugs, cap and rotor are good and so are the wires I believe that the fuel filter is good since when i had my Edelbrock on there it would do a really nice 5psi on my Mallory 4309. Currently I have a smaller regulator on there that dials the 5psi from the Mallory to 2.5 PSI.
I think the Carter is a few years old now, does anyone know how much one might go either here on the forum or online?
Really hoping it is something simple..
Thanks guys!

The car would start instantly rain or shine and in the last 5 days it turns over just as fast but it takes about two to three second of cranking to get it to catch.
I am not sure what to look for

Sounds normal! Does it have a choke installed still? I live in the northeast, and my engines dont like to start cold without a choke.
I actually have more problems with hot starts up here.

The Nikki isn't particularly cold-blooded but if you don't have a choke (and I suspect you don't) it can be a bit grouchier in colder weather. Even a few degrees difference can make the starts a little more finicky.
