cold starting

well i've never owned a carbeurated car, or a rotary before. this is going to be my first winter with her, so forgive my noobishness

but i'm worried about being able to fire it up on a cold morning. its already getting a little harder to start even at 40-50 degrees. i have a completely stock 79. i have a racing beat power pulse going in soon, and i plan on removing the rats nest. but any pointers would be great

Arvada doesn't get as cold as it does here and mine starts fine with the Mikuni. Couple pumps of the pedal and full choke usually does it. Fresh tune and carb helps too.

Every car has a cold start when it doesn't warm up. If your car is EFI, then just need to wait 10 secounds for the oil pressure to rise.

I never had a problem with mine in michigan either, car could be lost under 3 feet of snow, all I had to do was pump it 2 times, pull out the choke and it would fire right up.
