I only did that when I had an under the axle tail pipe setup on the racecar. It had to angle upwards after clearing the axle tube.

i did it on my original exhaust setup... but honestly it's another bend that can hinder flow. BUT if you run the piping under the axle like carl was saying then you pretty much have to do it. sooo theres your answer. woot! i will try and find an oooold pic.

Dont think I have any pics. It was just like a 45 upwards so the muffler didnt scrape on the ground. Made good power, but was impossible to get on and off the trailer so I ditched it.

We just did on my freinds car, we ran a flex pipe under the axle

Didnt have any muffler mounting materials so we are using zip ties and flex pipe for now.

Yes I know it rigged but its due to lack of money and motivation he doenst care, I wouldnt have it on mine but thats just me. He just wanted some kind of muffler to stop the exhaust tickets (4 in 2 weeks)

The muffler on my 323 goes at about a 45* angle. . . . simply because it rusted off of most of it's hangars. Eh, sounds nice without a muffler
