Clutch or Tranny problems

I'm having this problem that i cant figure out the remady to. My baby is a '79 Sa base but i got a 5 speed in her. now the motor is a fresh rebuild with i think 4,ooo miles on her and the tranny could be new to. i got her off of some kid who didnt know wat he was doin. i had to replace the belts and fix a few problems here and there but she ran good and pulls strong up until when the problem starts. it happened once so i replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders. problem went away. what it was doin was when i push the peddle to desingage the clutch and ill have the peddle to the floor and the it wont go into first or second or reverse or its like i got to slam it in a couple of times before it goes in and when it does you can feel the tranny and engine shudder, but 3rd, 4th, and 5th seem to be fine and have no problems shifting into. now i let the car sit for a day about 36 hrs and the problem rears its ugly head again. so i drive it around for a while with it acting up and bleed the clutch and then drove it some more. now after i bleed the clutch it acted up the first 4 times i needed to put it in first, then after that it seemed to go away and never gave me any more problems yet
thanks in advance for the help if yall know wat is causing this

Sounds like you may still have air in the clutch hydraulics...try to obtsin or build a pressure bleeder and bleed the clutch master/slave again.
