Clutch Replacement
So my clutch went bad and I decided to learn how to replace my own clutch. I got the tranny unbolted, but the shifter won't budge. My uncles were helping and they have no idea how to get the shifter disconnected from the tranny. Can anyone help me out?

the shifter is removed by removing the plate that surrounds it to gain acess to the bolts that hold it in. after that you have two alternatives
1. remove the three bolts that hold the shifter to the tranny AND the four bolts that hold the plate and all of the rubber boots in
-or-
2. remove the three bolts and yank the shifter out of the main rubber boot (not recommended whereas it is difficult to get back in place
