Clutch Reccomendations and troubleshooting...?

so of course, now that i get my car ready to put on the road, i find that the clutch slips... It also engages high on the pedal, and i've heard that there is a way to adjust this, so drop me in the know.

also, if indeed the clutch does not improve (long story... dont wanna get into it) What clutch would you suggest for my motor, possibly with a streetport in it's future.... i want something that will engage HARD if i want it to, but will still be driveable for day to day. Also, with these clutches, sources and prices are appreciated.

keep in mind that its an 83 motor with the 225mm clutch.

Here's the think with the clutch.
You WANT it to be the weakest link in your drivetrain. Look at it this way, it's better to have the clutch slip a little rather than kill a tranny or drive shaft, right?

So basically your options end up being a stock Mazda Clutch, or somthing like a Centerfoce Stage I. Anything much past the Stage I and your clutch is no longer your weakest link.

Both a stock clutch and the Centerforce are widely available. The CF Stage I is about $250 from Mazdatrix, and the stock I recall is around the $200 range.

I'm pretty sure it was about $250 for the kit.
Go to www.mazdatrix.com and check...

The haynes manual shows pretty clearly how to adjust clutch pedal, check it out. The OEM clutch is a good buy for $150 if your car is mostly stock.
