clutch question

clutch question

i bought my '83 RX-7 about 3 weeks ago and just yesterday i noticed that my clutch would slip when i would try to accelerate quickly, i filled the brake fluid, then drove it a little and it had leaked, a also let whatever air there was in the slave out, which stiffened the clutch for about 1/16th of a mile. Any ideas?

Even if the clutch hydraulics are empty, the clutch itself should not slip, so problem 1 is you need a clutch replacement. If the fluid is leaking out, problem 2, replace all of it, master, slave and clutch hose. Good for another 20 years.
