clutch problems

ok so i have been having problems with my clutch... Its brand new.. got it from crappy tire, has about 5K KM on.. I have a NEW master cylinder.. the problems is that I have to rev my car up to 2k rpm and release the clutch slowing (pretty much riding the clutch).. or my car will still.... this only happenes when I'm stop.. its not bad when the car is moving.... I'm thinking about changing the slave Cylinder.. do u think that will help or is there something else i'm missing?

Is there something abnormal about this? Rev engine some, slowly let out clutch, move forward... What am I missing here?

Unless youre saying that you litterly have to almost pump (feather, whatever) the clutch pedal back and forth for an abnormaly long while to try and keep it from engaging too fast or something. In that case, I would say to check for leaks, blead the system, and try and replace the slave cylinder if the other two options dont fix it.

I've bleeded it.. and i do need to get my carb rebuild.. (have to find someone to do it).. the clutch pedal also feels loose.... how hard is it to change the slave cylinder? is it easyer then the master cylinder? (damn top screw took my a couple of hours)
