SC clutch pedal sticking

i have a first gen 85 with a 12a and i have had problems with the clutch pedal sticking to the floor just bled hydrolics and replaced slave cylinder but i still have the problem it doesnt bother if i take off out of first it just sticks out of first during slow starts any help would be useful im new to the rotary way of thinking thanks guys

Wow... It's difficult to imagine any kind of clutch problem that is gear-sensitive - - the clutch system is completely independent of gear selection.

Nearest thing I can think of is something involving torque reaction, since back-torque on the engine and mounts is greatest in first gear. Maybe you have a bad engine or trans mount that is letting the top end of the clutch release fork hang up on the inside of the trans tunnel?

Does the clutch stick with the engine off & shifter in first; or only when you're loading the system by actually accelerating the car?

wait so its only doing this on first gear? i was going to say the spring that is right under the dash on the clutch pedel is worn out...but that would affect everytime you pushed the clutch in.

if u've replaced the slave and still have the same problem, then replace the clutch master cyl. that's the one that's leaking down.
