'clicking' noise, driver side front wheel, right turns only, what could it be?

For a few months now there has been this infernal 'clicking' noise coming from the driver side front wheel whenever I'm making low to medium speed right turns, and only under that condition. It's rotational, I know that much, because the frequency of the 'clicks' rises with the speed the car is traveling. I took off the wheel in question and I didn't see anything out of place, and no indications of any kind of rub anywhere. The anti-rattle springs are in place as they should be. The clicking sound only seems to happen after braking, if it helps.
