Click=good idle!
So after my car (1980 12a) died in the middle of a very busy road, i have decided to finally work out the kinks in it, so i have couple of questions.
First off the stall. I was just sitting at a red light and i saw my rpm needle drop to nothing. I tried to start it and all it did was turn over and backfire. I believe it was flooded, because when i got home after my dad towed me, it started up and ran well. So, question number one, why did the car flood? It has happened once prior to this (months ago), and after a de-flood it ran fine. The car runs great when running. Is it ok to drive or do i have to worry about killing it at every stop?
Question and odd situation number 2. When coming to a stop or in neutral dropping rpms, my car will hold rpms at around 1200, untill a little click (somwhere around the fuses) which lets the car drop to a decent idle of 900. The same click happens when i just begin to step on the accelerator. Any idea of what this could be?
Thanks alot, any help would be appreciated.
