circle track rear springs

I recently installed some 5 inch AFCO circle track springs on the rear of my rx7 and was wondering if any one else has done it?

I have aftermarket springs, which are really something similar to any circle track spring that's cut to the right length then tested for rate. Tell us more about your setup:
- Flat on both ends, or flat at the top with a pigtail at the bottom, like OEM?
- Did you cut them?
- Free length? (before and after, if you cut them)
- Rate?

I used some 11 inch afco springsfrom summit racing.
the springs come with both ends flat.
I did cut off one of the flats to make it a pigtail end.
I also used some new stock front spring rubber isolators to dampen some of the noise transmited into the cab.

I know cutting coils off is a big no no but i thought i should try.so far i like them
they are 175lb springs but not sure if the rate went up much from the cutting.

anyways heres some pics

There's nothing wrong with cutting a spring if it's done correctly and you realize the resultant effects on spring rate. See this site --> http://www.eatonsprings.com/cuttingcoilsprings.html

I used a cutoff wheel to cut the springs.
So far I love the way the new stiffer springs feel cruising down the freeway so I have no complaints
