Brainstorm makes these Headlights.

The link is on my site.....

This is the link to Brainstorm: http://www.miata.net/garage/bsplow/

The kit was made for miatas, but fit all 1gens with minor modifications (motor linkage). The kit cost about $350. The number to call is at the bottom of last page.

Depends on how I do this year at the carshows, I will decide then. I may go ahead buy a set of aftermarket wheels.... and you’re right..... a nice set of mesh wheels would look really nice.

Vic

Well thats the deal isint it? Most people would just go and BUY something so what youve done is unique and will always stand out in the crowd. It's not about how much it costs, but what you want. I'm from the old hot rodders school of thought, back when there werent alot of aftermarket parts flooding the market, and the ones that were, seemed to be made of unobtainium. You took what you had and modded it to look better, perform better. Thats how you learn, not by writing big checks and bolting on (or paying someone to bolt on) shiny new parts. You also end up with a uniqe car once your done cause everyone has a different idea on how to mod things and the owners personality is reflected in the outcome. Ok, Ill get off the soap box now.

Im gonna "chrome" powdercoat a set of stock 12A + wheels. I bet you all will love the way they look. Wont be quite as nice as real chrome, but cheaper and still quite durable, much moreso than paint. And way cheaper than panasports.

I went aftermarket on my SE becasue I go a smoking deal on some discontinued rims ($85.00ea) and my tires were new (205/60r14). I also like the chroming job too, very pimp. bling bling etc. Looking to see this done on "Pimp My Ride" some night.

I personally love the stock gsl-se rims, even thought it doesn't have lip. Even to the point that I want to stick my stocks back on. It makes the car look classy. I've seen some people polish their stock rims and it looks good. I personally like the stock non-chromed look.

I like it alot. Great car! Just as everyone else, I want to see more pics of the car with the wheels in daylight, too, please.
I've got a set of 1980 aluminum wheels out in the garage that I had wanted to do the same, but I copped out and bought aftermarket. Maybe one day...

I think they're going to really stand out well with your 1st gen, IMO. Will we be seeing them at Rotorfest this summer?
